The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering encourages the development of technology serving humanity through innovation in areas from voice recognition to accessibility. If this philosophy inspires you, then our department might be your new home.
We conduct cutting-edge research in our labs, such as the Biomedical Signal Analysis Laboratory. This lab leads in the research and development of biometric devices to recognize fingerprint, face, iris, voice and handprint signatures.
Our low student-to-faculty ratio allows our professors to get to know you as an individual while you engage in important, world-class research. This unique quality of interaction between faculty and students is the hallmark of a Clarkson educational experience.
As part of Clarkson’s Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering, our department is emblematic of the University’s team-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning.
