Sigma Delta Fraternity Alumni Reunion 2011
To celebrate our 107 years of history and to provide an update on the plans for the future, the Sigma Delta Governance Board will host the Alumni Reunion Pig Roast in Potsdam July 14th – 17th, during Clarkson’s Alumni Reunion weekend. In conjunction with this event, the golf committee will host the Sigma Delta Golf Classic, with golf events on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, followed by the Alumni Reunion Pig Roast on Saturday afternoon. The Sigma Delta Golf Classic has built a strong following of golfers and non-golfers alike with over 50 alumni in attendance last year. This is a great opportunity to catch up with brothers from your era and across the decades, and to hear the message from the Governance Board regarding the status and future of the fraternity. A great turnout is expected, given the event location, timing with Clarkson’s Alumni Weekend, and partnership with the annual Golf Classic. Alpha Chi Rho (AXP) Celebrates 55 Years, 1956 – 2011!
AXP is organizing a gathering at the Chapter House at 77 Elm Street during Clarkson’s Alumni Weekend to celebrate its 55th Anniversary. A lunch / barbeque is planned for Saturday, July 16 at Noon, followed by the Chapter’s Annual Alumni Meeting. Come to the house and catch up with brothers from your time and today. Omega Delta Phi 50th Anniversary and Annual Alumni Association Meeting
Omega turns 50! Join us throughout the reunion weekend to ring in our 50th year. With sisters from both Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam, Omega now has over 900 alumni. We expect over 100 sisters for the anniversary and in true Omega style, hope many of our friends from the campuses, other organizations, and fellow Greek houses will be in Potsdam to celebrate with us. Events for the Omega sisters will take place on Saturday, July 16th and our annual alumni association meeting/elections will be on Sunday, July 17th at 10 am. Delta Zeta – Xi Ro Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
Come join your DZ sisters and their families as they celebrate 25 years at Clarkson! Plans are in the works to give our sisters lots of opportunities to catch up. Lambda lota/Delta Upsilon Alumni Corporation Annual Reunion Meeting
The annual meeting of the Lambda lota / Delta Upsilon Alumni Corporation will take place at the chapter house at 30 Elm Street on Saturday, July 16, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Stop by the house to rekindle the memories and lasting friendships among the brotherhood. The meeting will provide an update on the status of the chapter and the Alumni Corporation, an to continue discussions about the move of the chapter to the Hill Campus as part of Clarkson’s special interest housing project.
Clarkson Men's Hockey
Good times with former teammates and a round of golf will make for an enjoyable weekend for the Clarkson University men's hockey team. Many past and present Golden Knights are planning the trip back to Potsdam to celebrate memories from the glory days. This is a great time to swap stories, catch up with old teammates and meet our current players and coaches. Plans also include a men's alumni hockey gathering at 6:30 pm on Friday, July 15, followed by a reception in the Players' Lounge in Cheel Campus Center.
Physical Therapy: 10th Anniversary of the very first graduating PT Class!
The Clarkson Physical Therapy Department invites all alumni from Physical Therapy to return to Clarkson to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first graduating class from the physical therapy program. We would like this 10th reunion to be spent with graduates of the program from all classes as a celebration of the program. Please join us, Saturday, July 16, for a Physical Therapy Educational session provided by faculty member Prof. Stacey Zeigler, PT, DPT, MS, GCS; Professor Emeritus, Samuel B. Feitelberg, PT; past-faculty Samantha Marocco, PT, DPT; and which will count toward NYS CEUs, followed by a reception with PT faculty and staff at Clarkson Hall. Professors Zeigler, Feitelberg, and Marocco will present on their recent research and work relating to autonomy in physical therapy and leadership, cultural diversity, and other topics.
