Physical therapists are the specialists in human movement and movement dysfunction. Physical therapy students learn in great depth about:

- Examining and intervening with people who suffer from movement dysfunction
- Associated cultural, financial, legal, medical, psychological, and societal that affect intervention in improving human movement
